The Vibe & Special Presentation
***BE PART OF THIS MILESTONE EVENT!!!***
***WE WANT TO FILL THE PARK COMPLETELY!!!***
We are calling on everyone who is playing or has ever played in the KMSPL over the last 50 years and their families to come out.
Grab a burger and a drink, and get ready to reminisce. We want to hear all of your best "Remember When" stories, especially the legendary ones where "You Just Can’t Make This Shit Up." Peter brought so much joy to this league, and we want to reflect that same energy as we celebrate him.

Highlight of the Afternoon: Make sure you are there for a very special presentation, as the league will be officially unveiling a brand new KMSPL Award named in Peter's honor to cement his legacy for the next 50 years!

Who Was Peter?
If you somehow didn't get a chance to cross paths with Peter, here is a glimpse into the man, the myth, and the legend we are honoring:
-
The KMSPL Titan: Peter was truly "The Original." Over an incredible 47 years in the league, he won 2 Championships, ranks 3rd all-time in At-Bats, and sits in the Top 15 for total Hits.
-
The Family Man: Born in Windsor and raised in Lachine, Peter and his wife Susan bought their home in Kirkland in 1973. He leaves behind Susan, his loving wife of 55 years, their two sons, Scott (Dawn) and Chris (Kim), and five grandchildren (Adam, Mia, Evan, Jake, and Mason). Above all his talents, he was first and foremost a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who rarely missed a game his grandkids played.
-
The Community Pillar: A University of New Brunswick grad (where he played football and earned his Phys. Ed. degree), Peter brought his passion to the West Island. He had a significant career with the Town of Kirkland and spent many years teaching and coaching at Kuper Academy.
-
The Renaissance Man: He wasn't just a fierce competitor on the softball diamond. Peter was a teacher, mentor, guitarist, artist, coach, and referee.
Peter had an aura about him that simply made people feel happy. He was a bright, shining light in the West Island sports community, and while he is gone, he will be with us always.

Let’s get together, fire up the grill, and celebrate a life incredibly well-lived.
