50 Years Strong: KMSPL Season Set to Be a Record-Breaking Anniversary
The Kirkland Men's Softball League (KMSPL) is celebrating its 50th season (1977–2026) with a focus on Good Fun • Great Friends • Community Spirit. This year is packed with milestone events, high participation, and a commitment to honoring the league's rich history and community ties.
HISTORIC MILESTONE: REGISTRATION SURGES
The season is already off to a record start:
Record Breaking: For the first time in five decades, the league has surpassed 208 registered players (enough for 16 full teams) before February 1st.
Last Chance: Registration remains open until March 27th.

Generations Series: A four-game All-Star series, pitting Under 50s vs. Over 50s and mixed matchups, running from May 31 to August 23.

Bradwell Tournament: The 37th Annual Sian Bradwell Tournament is set for August 4–9 at Holleuffer, featuring four KMSPL teams against four from DDO.

SOCIAL CALENDAR & COMMUNITY TIES
Following strong attendance at the recent Habs game (22) and Super Bowl party (40+), the social calendar is packed:
Olympic Gold Medal Watch Party: A joint venture with the Kirkland Old Timers on Saturday, February 22 at 8:00 AM at the Kirkland Arena Upstairs Lounge, featuring breakfast, coffee, and beer to cheer on Team Canada.
The KMSPL 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament stands as one of the signature events of the 2026 season, bringing together players, alumni, and friends to celebrate five decades of league history.
The tournament takes place at Dorval Golf Course on Friday, August 28, 2026, with the day kicking off with a full breakfast served at the course. From the opening tee shots through the final holes, the event is designed to be a relaxed but competitive day that reflects the spirit the league was built on.
Following golf, the celebration continues with dinner at the Chalet at 6:00 p.m., featuring food by Arahova Kirkland. The evening does not stop there. Bocce begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by poker at 11:00 p.m., giving everyone plenty of reasons to stay, reconnect, and enjoy the night.
