​Dear KMSPL Family, Friends, and Alumni,

It is with immense pride and excitement that I welcome you to a milestone year: The KMSPL 50th Anniversary Season!

​

As I enter my 16th year serving as your President—honored to be the longest-serving president in our league’s rich history—I can confidently say I have never been more enthusiastic about a season than I am for 2026. We have reached the half-century mark, a testament to the enduring strength of our league and the people who make it what it is.

​

To celebrate this incredible achievement, our theme for 2026 is "Good Fun - Great Friends - and Community Spirit." These three pillars have defined us since 1977, and they will guide every event we host this year.

​

I am also thrilled to introduce this letter as the official launch of The KMSPL Gazette. Published on the first Monday of every month beginning right now in January, this magazine will be your essential hub for information, stories, and updates throughout this landmark year.

​

We have curated an Events Calendar packed with activity, featuring something special every single month starting immediately.

 

To kick things off, Registration for the 50th Anniversary Season opens on January 5th and closes on March 27th. Please click the registration button to secure your spot on the field.

​

On the diamonds, we are elevating the competition and the camaraderie. Get ready for our 5 Super Sundays and our unique Generations Series of games, celebrating the different eras of our players.

 

We are also renewing friendly rivalries; keep an eye on the schedule for the Cottle Cup Series between KMSPL and DDO.

 

Furthermore, the 37th Annual Sian Bradwell Tournament, running from August 4th to 9th, will feature a special showcase pitting 4 KMSPL teams against 4 DDO teams.

​

True to our theme of "Community Spirit," we are solidifying our association with The West Island Mission this year. We will be conducting food drives at all our "Marquise events" throughout 2026 to ensure we give back to the community that has supported us for five decades.

​

Finally, we have two major celebrations anchored in our calendar that you cannot miss.

On Friday, August 28th, join us for the KMSPL 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament at Dorval Golf Course, which includes breakfast, dinner, bocci, poker, and your golf cart.

 

We will then cap off this historic year on Saturday, October 24th, with the 50th Anniversary Gala Banquet at Olympia Grill in DDO.

​

This is going to be an unforgettable year. I urge you all to register for the season immediately, book your spots for the golf tournament and the banquet early as space is limited, and keep referring back to The KMSPL Events Calendar.
